David S. Traub, architect

Architect, planner, preservationist and writer. For more than half a century David S. Traub has designed houses, recreation buildings for the City, law offices and restorations in Philadelphia, and he is still at it: writing, drawing and speaking up for the city’s threatened buildings with Save Our Sites. This site is a catalogue of his work and a record of what he is doing now, with news, new writing and his preservation advocacy.

Save Our Sites

Save Our Sites, the citywide preservation group he co-founded with John Dowlin, speaks for the buildings and places that give Philadelphia its character, whether or not they are officially historic. It hosts lectures and tours, sends a newsletter, and speaks at most monthly meetings of the Historical Commission.
